JON MACKINTOSH
Managing Director, Encore SA
After three years in the direct marketing industry Jon moved into the Financial Services arena with Australia's largest broker network, Count Wealth Accountants - incorporating over 600 franchises and 1100 financial planners - as Stock Broking Manager. In this role Jon oversaw the introduction of stock broking services to all franchises and was instrumental in organising the group's public float. He moved on to become State Manager for Count overseeing business in South Australia and Tasmania. In 2002, at the age of 27, Jon was appointed General Manger of Count's largest subsidiary, Compound Investments.
In January of 2003 Jon, along with Partners Graham Peatey and Matt Fogarty founded The Encore Group with the express intention of providing tangible, real and direct business solutions to Financial Planning and Broking firms. In 2005 The Encore Group formed a joint venture with Sanlam Life - Encore SA and Jon moved to Cape Town to act as Managing Director of this enterprise. Jon is passionate about a professional financial services industry integrating financial planning, accounting and legal fraternities.
PHILLIP VAN STADEN
Deputy Managing Director
Phillip is a Science graduate from Rand Afrikaans University who qualified and practiced as learning facilitator for more than 23 years. His further development included various certificates in Sales and Marketing as well as a diploma as Master Facilitator. He joined Sanlam in 1990 as Computer Consultant and trainer. As Marketing Training Consultant he was responsible for the induction of new representatives and the implementation of Competency Based Training. Phillip has been facilitating various learning interventions as a freelance facilitator since 1996 and has experience in project management of large scale training role out. He joined Encore SA as Practice Development Specialist with it's inception in May 2005.
